A: Everyone has a different tolerance for pain, and while it can be uncomfortable, the most common feedback we receive is, "Wow, that wasn't as bad as I made it out to be in my head!"  It hurts briefly as the strip is removed, but the pain quickly subsides — kind of like a bandaid.  Remember that a skilled professional with proper technique can make a huge difference!.

12 years old is the minimum age to receive bikini line services, and a parent or legal guardian must be present in the room during the entire service.  Clients 15, 16 or 17 years old may receive bikini line, teeny bikini, bikini full, and Brazilian services as long as their parent is in the room during the entire service.

A: A Brazilian wax includes all hair removed front to back, however, you can customize this service to your liking by asking your beautician to leave a landing strip, triangle, etc.

A: Hair needs to be the length of a grain of rice or a cupcake sprinkle. Typically, 10-14 days of growth after shaving is required as a minimum for the wax to be able to grip the hair as it cools and sets.(Longer hair is fine too!)

A: Everyone is different. We all have different hair growth cycles. Many clients experience smoothness for about 2 weeks, some less, some more. It takes about 3-4 consistent waxes to get hair on the same growth cycle which typically results in a longer period of smoothness. Hair will grow back sparser, softer and finer with each wax.

A: For best results we recommend coming in every 4-6 weeks. This allows hair to get on the same growth cycle & ensures hair is an appropriate length. It is also far less painful if you keep up with it and hurts less each time.  Clients who are consistent with their waxes have found they can go longer in between waxes.  We don’t suggest going longer than 8 weeks though, no matter how long you’ve been waxing, unless you have had laser hair removal.

A: Yes! We wax mamas during their entire pregnancies.

A: Yes absolutely, as long as you wear a tampon or menstrual cup to stop your flow during the service. We wax women during their monthly flow all the time!  For some clients, waxing immediately before and during your period may be more painful.  

A: We recommend waiting 24-48 hours, however, some clients (especially regularly waxed clients) do not experience tenderness after waxing and can enjoy sex sooner.  A good rule of thumb is “whenever you feel good down there!”

A: A Brazilian wax removes all hair front to back, a bikini wax removes everything except the butt strip.)

A: Yes!  So glad you asked.

• Wear loose, comfortable clothing to avoid friction immediately after wax.
• We suggest for you to arrive 5 minutes early to fill out new client form/sign your form and use the restroom.
• Trimming is not necessary, we will do this for you, however, if you feel more comfortable trimming it yourself, please be careful not to trim shorter than ½ inch.
• It is best to come in freshly showered, but we know this is not always possible. Ask your service provider for a wipe if you’d like one!
• Exfoliate gently by using a washcloth to loosen dead skin cells, which will make your wax easier.
• Limit caffeine for 4-5 hours prior to your appointment. 
• Folks who normally take Ibuprofen or Tylenol for pain may find this helpful 20-30 minutes prior to treatment.  Taking antacids (Tums) or 24-hour non-drowsy Claritin prior to your appointment may help with skin redness, hives and sensitivity.
